Platmart Color Swatches is a Shopify app that helps shoppers see and choose colors, patterns, sizes, and other product options. You manage swatches in the app inside Shopify admin, and shoppers use them on your storefront.
Two ways to show product choices
Variant swatches style the existing options within one Shopify product as colors, images, or buttons. On a product page, selecting a swatch selects a variant of that product.
Product groups connect separate Shopify products with swatches. On a product page, selecting a group swatch takes the shopper to the linked product. For example, you can link separate Black, Blue, and Green shirt listings.

Where shoppers see swatches
The Product widget shows swatches on product pages. The Collection widget shows swatches on supported product cards, including collection pages and some home-page sections. What appears depends on your theme, the widget installation, and the feature's display settings.
Product and collection display are configured separately. Installing the product widget does not enable collection swatches. See Show swatches on collection pages.
From setup to your storefront
Configure your product choices. Follow Set up variant swatches for existing variants, or Create your first product group for separate products.
Enable the theme widgets. In Widgets setup, install the product widget, collection widget, or both in the theme you want shoppers to use. Follow Enable swatches in your theme.
Let saved changes finish syncing, then check the storefront. Updates usually appear within 30-60 seconds for small catalogs; larger catalogs can take a few minutes. If you configured an unpublished theme, check its preview.
Both parts are needed: configured groups or variant options, and the corresponding theme widget. Installing the app alone does not complete storefront setup.
What changes in Shopify
Product groups link existing products without merging them into one product or turning them into variants. Variant swatches change how existing options are displayed; they do not reorganize your Shopify products or create new variants.
